Accessibility

Intech Computer Solutions wants this website to be usable by as many people as possible, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification or other assistive technology.

The standard we build to

We build against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. That is the target we design and develop to — it is not a certification, and the site has not been independently audited or formally assessed for conformance. In practice, building to it means:

  • Semantic HTML structure with a logical heading hierarchy
  • Every function reachable and operable by keyboard alone
  • Visible focus indicators on interactive elements
  • Text and interface colors that meet AA contrast ratios
  • Descriptive alternative text for images that convey information
  • Link text that makes sense when read on its own
  • Respect for the operating system’s reduced-motion preference
  • Layouts that work from small mobile screens to large desktop displays

How we test

We check pages with automated tooling, and we test keyboard navigation, focus order and screen-reader labelling by hand. Automated checks catch a useful share of problems but nowhere near all of them, so we do not treat a clean automated result as evidence of conformance.

Where we fall short

Accessibility is ongoing rather than a box to tick, and we are not going to claim the site is perfect. Some third-party embeds and older documents may not fully meet the standard. If you find something that does not work for you, we want to know — that feedback is the most reliable way we find real problems.

Reporting a barrier

Contact us and describe what you were trying to do, the page you were on, and the assistive technology or browser you were using. We will respond and work to fix it.

If the website itself is the barrier, please call — we will take the information over the phone and make sure it reaches the right person.
